Youth Lagoon - Cannons

I first heard this track a few months back when trawling spotify for something new to listen to. It instantly hit me as being catchy yet somehow amazingly beautiful. I dropped the album onto a playlist and then spent the next few weeks listening to it nonstop.

I recently stumbled across the album again and I just can't get enough of it. This song is my stand out track but I'd say they all have something about them. Finally bought the album on CD too, don't want to risk forgetting it again!

Best crisps ever?

Think the crisps in the attached picture might just be the best ever.

They're made by a company called cofresh who I've never heard of and can't be arsed to look up on Google for fear of finding that they are the first food company to produce all of their food using nothing other than human remains.

If I'm honest, provided they're the remains of attractive and wealthy people I couldn't care whether the company was run by Osama himself.  Credit to him for making his crisps just taste so effing good.

They cost 46p in our local Tesco and are so good they get their own aisle away from the other, far more inferior crisps. 

So, while I demolish the entire bag whilst watching Andy Murray vs Rafa Nadal I suggest you get yourself down to your local Tesco store (or Asda where they sell them for 2p more - Tesco reliably inform me). Don't come back until you've bought and eaten the entire bag.

We care?

We Dare - never heard of it? You mean you missed all of the scandal surrounding the most x-rated game to ever be released to the world (hmmm...)

I would actually be thankful for the fact that you missed the news about this game - made by Satan himself - being released to 12 year olds. Missing it means that you're not a fuckwit (or a Daily Mail reader, as most of us know them).  They sent one of their intrepid reporters absolutely nowhere in order to get the scoop on what must be their biggest story of the year.

Said Daily Mail reporter even managed to muster up the linguistic ability to shit out an article looking at the trailer for this perverted game in a considerable amount of detail.  Only problem is, there isn't really a story here so he has to resort to filling his article with nonsense.

Third paragraph in and he's already making sweeping statements. 

"Many parents insist it is not suitable for a console which is popular with families and teenagers." 

Many parents? I call bullshit. I would imagine that most parents haven't even heard of the game, and even more than that simply couldn't give a toss about it or the content of it.

"other parts of the two-minute video, viewed over 150,000 times on the Internet site You Tube, are suggestive of orgies, pole-dancing and wife-swapping"

Senna

I remember the day he died so vividly. A recollection like that is such achievement for me when I've got such an awful memory for so much of the time.

I was 9 and we were out for my dad's birthday meal.  Hogans driving range and restaurant was always the choice for a special occasion, or even just a Sunday when dad fancied a bit of golf.  We were sat in the restaurant eating whilst the San Marino GP was on telly.  Although I couldn't really tell what was going on amongst all the chaos on the track I could tell something was up by the look on my dad's face.

Every time I see a video of him racing or talking I'm still hit with that frisson of sadness.   Thank God that the safety in F1 has improved.

Bestival - Benjamin Francis Leftwich

Now that I know I'm going to the right festival (not the one one a different island three months earlier), I'm actually quite excited.  Have been even more excited since I read about the lineup.  Pendulum aside, that is.  I'd rather take it from Matt Bellamy while he sang through the entirety of the last two Muse albums than listen to a Pendulum song. Fact.

Was scrolling down the epic list they released a couple of days ago and was overjoyed to see that they've got this guy who I'd heard a bit of through the EP he has on Spotify.  This song doesn't actually feature on Spotify but it's my favourite.  Love it a lot and will be putting him down as a must see when I get there.

NYC Timelapse

Every so often I'll come across a bit of video which just captures my attention for the entirety of it, everything else no longer registers while I sit and gawp at whatever visual treat I'm currently privy to.  Believe it or not, more than 60% of the time the videos feature no nudity whatsoever.

It's happened again. This time with a Timelapse video of New York City, by a guy called Josh Owens (goes by the name mindrelic on twitter and the like).  I'm sure the fact that I've always wanted to visit NY and never have only serves to make me enjoy this even more.

Hate to state the obvious in a post title, I'm usually the first for a cracking pun or witty title but I couldn't think of one.

Have had a bit of a weird couple of weeks.  Have had my first ever feelings of uncertainty around job stability, my first rejection at interview for a new job I really wanted and my first period of actually doubting my ability to do the job I'm in.

I wouldn't say I'm a particularly confident person but I have always had confidence in my ability to get stuff done, especially when it comes to computers. If I've ever been unsure I've just read about how to do it so that I was no longer unsure. Simple.
